Free relaxation & sleep audio

Guided breathing, deep-rest, focus and sleep sessions — free, no email, no sign-up. Or make it personal with your own voice.

How to choose one

There are thirteen sessions here and they are not interchangeable. Roughly, they fall into three groups.

Breathing sessions — the physiological sigh, box breathing and the extended-exhale reset — ask you to do something. They are the fastest acting and the best choice when your body has got ahead of the situation and you want it back in the next few minutes.

Guided sessions — deep rest and somatic calm — talk you through a body scan. Use these when you want to put the day down but do not want a task, and when you have ten to fifteen minutes to lie still.

Ambience — brown noise, the relaxation descent, the delta cradle, theta ambience, the Schumann session and 963 Hz — ask nothing of you at all. They are environments: something to work inside, fall asleep to, or meditate over.

Two of those pages spend most of their length explaining why the popular claims about them are weaker than the internet suggests. We left the sessions in the library because they are good sound, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a mechanism that has not been demonstrated.

What these are, and what they are not

Every session here is free, needs no email address and no account, and uses a calm neutral voice or no voice at all. None of them is a medical intervention, and none of them requires you to believe anything in particular to be useful. Where the evidence for something is genuinely mixed, the page for that session says so.

They are also deliberately different from the thing we actually sell. The free library uses a stranger's voice. Our flagship uses yours — seven affirmations you record yourself, woven into a five-layer wind-down session — because a recording of your own voice is processed differently from a stranger's, which is the whole idea behind the product.
